Who Should Be Joe Biden’s Running Mate? Vote for the Top 2!

Our country is in crisis–and in pain–on multiple fronts right now. It’s critical that Joe Biden is elected president and that Donald Trump is defeated in November. Part of the process of getting to that point is the selection of a running mate.

In the past week, some of Biden’s potential running mates have risen up the ranks in people’s minds while others have fallen, which is tied directly to George Floyd’s death and the protests that followed.

In recent weeks, I asked you to give your input on who should be Biden’s running mate. Over the past week (Round 2), you voted to narrow the list of 10 names down to just five.

Based on your votes, the names cut from the list were: Tammy Baldwin, Catherine Cortez Masto, Tammy Duckworth, Michelle Obama and Gretchen Whitmer.

Cortez Masto and Whitmer were each one vote short of being tied for fifth place.

This means that the five names advancing to the next round are: Stacey Abrams, Val Demings, Kamala Harris, Amy Klobuchar and Elizabeth Warren.

Now that the field has been narrowed even more, it’s time to vote again. Round 3, which consists of five names, will last one week. After this round is over, the results will determine the Top 2.

Voting for Round 3 is open from Wednesday, June 3 to Wednesday, June 10. Use the form below to vote–unlike previous rounds, you can only vote for ONE name, so choose wisely. And feel free to share this blog post on all of your social media pages so that as many Biden supporters/Democrats as possible can participate. (Use the hashtag #BidenVP.)

I am not affiliated with Joe Biden or his campaign; this is just for us to show our support and have some fun along the way.
